Sub-domain and Meta function
The subdomain feature lets you display your edoobox offers under your own edoobox address. You can also add Meta or Google verification when external services need to verify your booking page. This is useful for communicating consistent booking links or connecting your edoobox pages to analytics, advertising, or search services.
Your own subdomain for offers
The edoobox address follows the pattern https://KÜRZEL.edoobox.com. You can see the account abbreviation in the organization information; it is read-only in the current interface. Use the resulting address for offer links, iFrames, campaigns, and links on your website.
A subdomain is a subdivision of a domain. The edoobox subdomain is therefore not the same as full domain mapping to an arbitrary domain of your own. After changes, check all links on your website and in email templates.
Meta functionality for Facebook and Google
Depending on the use case, Meta and Google require confirmation that you control the booking page used. At Meta, domain verification is particularly relevant for Facebook Business Manager, advertising accounts, and prioritized conversion events. Google verification is often performed through Google Search Console.
Verification proves to the respective service that you control the checked page. It sets up neither conversion tracking nor consent. In edoobox, you add only the verification tag provided for this purpose.
Add the subdomain to Meta/Facebook
- Log in to Facebook Business Manager or Meta Business Portfolio.
- Open the domains area, often under Brand Safety or Business Settings.
- Add the edoobox subdomain using the pattern
https://KÜRZEL.edoobox.com. - Copy the complete meta tag with
name="facebook-domain-verification"provided by Meta.
Meta’s labels may change. What matters is adding the edoobox subdomain as a domain and copying the HTML meta tag offered for verification.
Add the subdomain to Google Search Console
For Google, you need a valid Google account and access to Google Search Console. Add the full HTTPS address of the edoobox subdomain as a URL-prefix property and choose HTML meta tag verification. A domain property requires DNS verification; the edoobox meta tag field is not designed for that.
Save a verification code in edoobox
- Copy the meta tag from Meta or Google, for example one following the pattern
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="...">. - In edoobox, open the global settings and the area for Google or verification meta tags.
- Select Add meta tag, replace the demo value with the complete tag, and save.
- Restart verification at the external service.
Depending on the provider, it may take a few minutes for the saved code to be recognized. Open the subdomain in a browser and check whether the booking page is accessible.
Please note: public status and limitations
The subdomain works only if your edoobox account is publicly accessible. An account in Global Internal mode cannot use the subdomain as a public booking page.
The interface currently accepts only meta tags with google-site-verification or facebook-domain-verification. This does not cover arbitrary HTML, tracking scripts, CNAME DNS records, or full domain mapping to any custom domain.
Use cases
Use case: Verify a booking page for Google
An organization wants to verify its edoobox offers in Google Search Console. It adds https://kurse.edoobox.com as a property, copies the HTML meta tag, inserts it in edoobox under META HTML, and then restarts verification in Google.
Use case: Verify a subdomain with Meta
An organizer adds its edoobox subdomain in Meta Business Portfolio, copies the complete facebook-domain-verification tag into the verification meta tags, and then checks the status at Meta. Conversion tracking and cookie consent are configured and tested separately.
Use case: Keep your own main domain visible
An organization wants to communicate only kurse.example.ch. Because the subdomain feature does not provide arbitrary domain mapping, it embeds edoobox in its own website using an iFrame and uses the edoobox subdomain only in the technical setup.
If verification cannot find the tag
- Open exactly the public HTTPS starting address registered with the provider, without an admin login.
- In the HTML head, check the complete tag, correct name, and unchanged verification value.
- Check whether the provider is verifying the same address or URL-prefix property.
- Save the correction, reload the public page, and restart verification with the provider.
A working iFrame page on your website does not automatically verify the edoobox subdomain. Maintain verification for your own website in its CMS.

Check the Google property and published page
The official Google ownership help confirms the HTML tag method for URL-prefix properties. The home page must be accessible without login, and the tag must be in the HTML head of the page being checked. Check the actual public subdomain, not just the parent website containing the iFrame.
Verification is separate from Tracking V2 configuration. Verification tags contain no GA4 API secrets or advertising access keys.
