Additional questions in multi-offers
In a multi-offer, both the main offer and booked sub-offers can provide additional questions. edoobox keeps answers separate by offer context. Answers therefore need not match even for an identical question group.
Prepare questions and booking scope
You need an editable question group and access to main and sub-offers. Create group and answer options under Additional questions. Decide whether the question belongs to the overall process or a specific workshop.
Additional questions record booking answers. For person-specific details, use Participant data fields. An answer option such as ‘Workshop A’ reserves no place; the relevant sub-offer must actually be booked.
Assign the group to the correct offer
- Open the main offer and its Additional questions / Additional services section.
- Under Additional questions, assign groups applying to the overall process.
- Open each affected sub-offer and assign its own question groups there.
- Check status, answer format and order of groups and input fields.
- Check the public template used and open a trial multi-offer booking.
The Default marker adds groups to new offers. It does not retrospectively correct existing main and sub-offers. Check their assignment individually.
Check answers for booked sub-offers
With several booked sub-offers, the same question group may occur repeatedly. Answers are saved with the respective offer assignment. Questions from unbooked sub-offers do not belong to this booking merely through their group assignment.
- In the example, book two sub-offers such as ‘Morning workshop’ and ‘Afternoon workshop’.
- Use the same ‘Catering’ group in both.
- Select ‘Vegan’ for the morning workshop and ‘No catering’ for the afternoon workshop.
- Complete the trial booking and open additional questions in booking details.
- Compare both answers with the corresponding sub-offer. Checking only by group title is insufficient.
An option group permits exactly one valid selection. Text and text area answers may remain empty. If an option group needs a neutral answer, add a clear option such as ‘No catering’.
Change sub-offers or answers afterwards
Open additional questions from booking details and edit the answer in the correct offer context. Locked, inactive or cancelled contexts are not freely editable. Historical stored answers may appear alongside currently assigned groups.
In a trial booking, remove one of the two sub-offers through the intended rebooking process. Then check answers again: the answer for the still-booked offer must remain; the removed sub-booking must not be read as another offer’s still-current answer. Also check confirmation and any price changes.
Analyse answers with offer references
- Open the appropriate participant/booking export and select required question group or answer columns.
- In the generated file, check offer identification for identically named questions.
- Compare test answers from both sub-offers with values in the respective export columns.
- Repeat after a sub-offer change.
Assignment by booked sub-offer is decisive. If an export format does not visibly output the required offer reference, do not yet share the list as a complete workshop analysis. Use a suitable export or clarify column selection.
Fix typical errors
| Observation | Check |
|---|---|
| A group appears repeatedly | First check main/sub-offer identification. The same group may deliberately be used more than once. |
| Expected question missing | Check the actually booked sub-offer, group status, answer options and form. |
| Answer apparently belongs to the wrong workshop | Compare booking details and export using the two deliberately different test answers; do not overwrite an answer based only on the group title. |
| Different information is needed per person | Use a participant data field with appropriate group participant visibility. |
