Customer view in the calendar
The Customer view adds bookings for a session to the global calendar. For daily planning, this lets you see the contact person, participant count or an answered additional question directly on the calendar card, for example.
Requirements and access
- In the app menu, open Calendar.
- Select the required period and a view such as Day, Week, Work week, Month or Agenda.
- At the top, switch from Sessions to Customer.
- If needed, narrow the displayed sessions by instructor, location, offer or offer status.
The Customer switch requires read permissions for Bookings and Participants. Without them, the session view remains available. If you have several edoobox accounts, first check the active account.
What a card represents
edoobox displays a separate card per booking and session. For group bookings, the card combines the people in that booking for that session; several bookings for the same session may produce multiple cards. The participant count relates to this assignment and is not an available-place count for the entire offer.
Customer cards use non-cancelled bookings actually linked to the session. With free session selection, the assignment to booked sessions is therefore decisive. If a session has no matching customer data, it remains visible in the calendar; the offer or session name then serves as the title, for example.
Select a title and additional rows
- In Customer view, select Settings.
- Under Title, choose exactly one field.
- Under Body, select the information to appear underneath. Multiple fields are possible here.
- Close the selection and check a card with a complete booking.
| Field | Card output |
|---|---|
| Offer | Name of the assigned offer. |
| Session | Session description. |
| Contact person | Name of the booking contact person. |
| Instructor | Names of instructors assigned to the session. |
| Number of participants | Number of people in this booking assigned to the session. |
| Additional question | An existing answered additional question, preferably a suitable selection answer. |
| Specific additional question | Answer to precisely the selected additional question. |
The selection of specific additional questions depends on the loaded booking data. If a question is unavailable, open a period containing a suitable booking. Unanswered fields do not create an additional text row. For multi-offers, saved answers are assigned to the appropriate offer.
By default, Customer view uses Additional question as the title and Contact person and Number of participants as further rows. The selected calendar view, Sessions/Customer and card settings are saved for your admin. Other admins can choose their own display.
Open and change a session
Click a card to open its session's quick view. Check start, end, offer, location, room and instructors there. Offer calendar opens the offer's schedule; Attendance opens attendance checking. Edit opens the session dialog. The customer card itself is not a form for changing people or additional answers.
Change one booked lesson: Open the relevant booking and, with free session selection, edit Booked items → Sessions → Manage selection. Follow the guide to changing lessons. Editing a calendar card changes the session itself and may affect other assigned people. After changing a lesson, check customer cards at both the old and new sessions and their participant counts.
“Customer view” here means the display for your admin team. It does not create a public calendar for independently rebooking or cancelling individual lessons. An organisational deadline per lesson and cancellation terms based on the offer start must be planned separately.
Planning examples
Prepare a group session: Choose Contact person as the title and Offer and Number of participants as the body. Reception can then see which group is registered for a session and how many people it includes. Afterwards, check the participant table for the full name list.
Distinguish sessions by a booking attribute: An additional question records the requested teaching format. Select that specific question as the title and add Contact person and Number of participants in the body. Check a booking with an answer and a session without one so the fallback title remains understandable.
If information is missing
- Check the account, period and active calendar filters.
- Check that the booking is actually assigned to this session and is not cancelled.
- Open the booking if a contact person or additional answer is missing.
- If a specific question is missing, first select a period containing appropriate answers.
- Check read permissions if the Customer switch is missing.
Customer view contains personal booking information. For a public monitor, use the designated Info Screen output.
